A Pie De Picos

We found the apartment clean and welcoming, and the parking right outside was handy. The location worked really well for our few days there. The one downside was the sofa bed, which was really uncomfortable to sleep on.

Luís was so helpful, sharing dog-walking and hiking routes, places to eat, and even where to shop. He kept checking whether we needed anything. The apartment is right by the Sella River and very close to Cangas de Onís, with great views and excellent service. It isn't large, but it had everything we needed, from a toaster and cookware to sheets, towels, soap, a sponge, hand sanitizer, and a high chair. Everything was very clean, and the place had a lot of charm. It's great value, and I'll definitely stay at "A pie de Picos" again when I return to Asturias.

We stayed with our dog, and the owners were completely fine with pets. They love dogs, which is lovely for anyone traveling with one. Parking right by the door was convenient, and even though the road is nearby, there wasn't any excessive noise inside. The place is 2km from the center of Cangas, so it's peaceful but still easy to walk into town. Hilda and Luis made us feel very welcome. The apartment was compact and cozy, with heating available if we wanted it, though it wasn't cold when we visited. It was bright, with windows in the living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. From the bathroom and bedroom you could see the mountains and river, and with the bedroom window open we could hear the river. There was plenty of bedroom storage in the built-in wardrobe, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was spotless. The kitchen had what we needed for cooking, including a frying pan and saucepan. It really felt like home, and we'd happily stay again.

The owner was so welcoming and gave us suggestions for routes and places to eat. The apartment is small, but has what you need. It's in a great spot, two minutes by car from Cangas de Onís, with a river nearby where you can cool off.
