El Buxu

We’re on our third year here, and whenever I’m in Asturias I think we’ll keep coming back. It’s a great spot to be outdoors, with a fantastic garden and barbecues for enjoying a few lovely days on vacation. The location is excellent, and Susana, Andrea, and José are incredibly welcoming. It’s especially perfect if you’re traveling with a dog. Long live Asturias, and wishing the family good health and happiness! :)

The apartment is small, but there’s more than enough room to live comfortably. We spent a week there and didn’t notice any problems with damp or smells. And to anyone calling it dirty, ours was perfect when we arrived. You’re in the countryside, so insects and a bit of dust or dirt can come with open doors and windows or just being outside. We live in the city and really appreciated the peace and chance to switch off. The location was great, under five minutes by car from Cangas de Onís, which is also walkable. After we asked Susana about the route, she showed us a safe path with lovely scenery. Covadonga is 15 minutes away, and Llanes and Ribadesella are 30-40 minutes away. Susana, Jose, and Andrea made us feel like family from the start. They answered all our questions about Asturias, suggested places to eat, hike, and visit, and checked in every day to see how we were doing. They were especially wonderful with our dog. There was no extra charge, and she was treated like family, with free use of the grounds and a shelf of toys, beds, bowls, and other things she might need. She enjoyed it even more than we did. They even left thoughtful gifts for both of us and for her. Thanks for making us feel at home and for all the care you showed us and our dog. We’ve found our place in Asturias and will see you next year!

We felt right at home in the apartment, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Susana, Andrea, and Jose were so kind and welcoming. They showed us around our apartment and the laundry room, towels, toys, dog beds, and even their vegetable garden and chicken coop. They also shared lots of ideas for routes and places to eat. I’d definitely recommend it, and we’ll be back soon. Cheers!

It was so peaceful there, but also well connected and just five minutes from Cangas. Susana showed us around when we arrived, suggested places to walk our dog, and gave us tomatoes from her garden and fresh eggs. We had a fantastic weekend in the apartment and left delighted. We’ll definitely return.
