FERGUS Club Font de Sa Cala Beach

Dinner was the biggest disappointment: bland, repetitive food with very little choice, and worse quality than at many three star hotels we’ve stayed in. The dining room is too small, so by about 19:45 there were long lines and people waited up to ten minutes to get in. Cleanliness was poor too. Plates were often greasy or stained, and some glasses still had lipstick marks. The rooms felt old and worn, with an awkward half bathtub, and the ventilation, which is meant to work as air conditioning, smelled strongly of sewage. That made the room unpleasant to stay in. Our time at Beach Club Font de Sa Cala, Mallorca was full of hassle and disappointment, and the hotel didn’t meet the comfort, cleanliness, or food standards I’d expect from a four star place. I wouldn’t recommend it. It gets one star only because I can’t give zero.

Our daughter had such a lovely holiday, and those evening mini discos were really touching. We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money, considering the room, restaurant, services, staff, on-site entertainment and range of activities, plus how close the beautiful beach is. A really lovely break.

The nearby beaches are lovely, and there are some great spots for snorkeling. With green woods, parks, beaches and cliffs all around, this family friendly hotel had pretty much everything we needed. The rooms were clean, the food tasted good, and there was a great selection. Hard to ask for much more.

Food was pretty good, but otherwise this was an average resort without much to get excited about. It also doesn’t feel fully all inclusive, since cocktails, decent drink brands, and anything after 10.30pm cost extra. Lots of people smoked despite the no smoking rule, even near the children’s pool. And I did wonder how well the rooms were cleaned: four days after I checked in, I found a contact lens left in the bathroom by a previous guest.
