Hotel Simón

Anna at reception really saved the day during our Semana Santa stay. She was so caring and kind, and even called Renfe to sort out our train tickets to Malaga. The online Renfe booking page is maddening. The other staff were helpful too, especially Anna. Grazie di cuore. The location was excellent, near the Cathedral and lots of restaurants. Our room was basic and old-fashioned, but clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was smart and modern. There was no kettle for the first few days, then one appeared. The lack of double glazing meant some nighttime noise. Prices tripled for Easter, though the other hotels did too.

There’s a nice bar just across the street, and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel is also an easy walk from all the main attractions. The building has a pleasant Moroccan-Spanish feel, and the place was very clean, with fresh towels each day. Reception were helpful and very nice. I think it should be a three-star hotel, though for some reason it’s only rated one star. If you want a hotel with some atmosphere, this is a good choice.

The friendly staff were helpful, and breakfast was very good, with fresh bread and a nice buffet spread. The room was comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. It’s a nostalgic-feeling hotel in a very convenient location.

Being just minutes from the cathedral in Seville’s old town made the location a real plus. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was simple and clean, and everything worked as it should. There’s no fridge, kettle, or TV, but I didn’t mind. The staff were friendly too. The large courtyard makes the building a little echoey, so sounds carry. My room faced a rather grand view of the courtyard wall, but it was quiet, which mattered more to me. Breakfast was fine, though a few items were sometimes slow to be replenished. I mentioned it once and they sorted it right away. A solid stay and good value for the location.
