Hostal Port Corona

I slept badly because every toilet flush seemed to make a loud noise through the night. Street noise is hard to avoid, but that constant sound was a problem. The rooms are dated but okay, and the views are nice. I also didn't find the staff welcoming or easy to reach. Maybe it was just my experience, but as a woman travelling alone I wouldn't recommend it, and I wouldn't return.

The balcony view was surreal, and the location was amazing. The room was clean and had everything I needed, while the staff were friendly and helpful. It was great value for the price. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

Parking is down to luck, but the reception staff were friendly, and there's a lift and a bar-restaurant at the accommodation. The hostal is right on the boulevard, which is an excellent spot, and the price-quality ratio is good. The rooms feel very dated, though, and the shower was cramped even for us, despite us not being particularly big. Its doors didn't open or close normally. It's a nice place if you're not expecting much comfort or luxury.

We only came for dinner, not to stay at the hostel. On a really busy summer night, the staff went out of their way to get us a nice table, and the service was excellent throughout. We ordered grilled shrimps and lamb, and both were amazing. Absolutely recommended!
