Hotel HSM Regana

The location was perfect for us: overlooking the sea with wooded mountains behind, and Cala Agulla beach only five minutes or so along the coast path. Cala Ratjada town center is about a 15-minute walk away. We found the breakfast and dinner buffets excellent, with lots of fresh food and plenty of choice. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout, and our room was bright and very clean. It was a little sparse, though. Some extra hanging space for towels and coats would have helped, as would a kettle and cups. We had an excellent stay and would happily come back.

The food was the best I've ever had, with a huge range from sushi to barbecue pork ribs, and the service was absolutely top-notch. The level 1 rooms were another story: very little storage and paper-thin walls. Teenagers two rooms away woke us at 4.5am. The garden-view room was a joke, just plastic grass and a few bushes. Although the hotel is adults only, there were many teenagers, and about 90 percent of the guests were German. The water quality was also very poor. It seemed to have grime or oil in it that wouldn't rinse off even with hot water. At first I thought it was soap, but it wouldn't wash away.

Our room had a terrace and a sea view, and it was cleaned every day. The hotel was mainly made up of German guests, and although we were the only English guests, we were looked after very well. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The food was nicely cooked and presented, with lots of choices each day. From the pool area there's direct access to a path leading to the beach. It's about a 10-minute walk to the harbor, where there are plenty of restaurants, and there are also several bars and restaurants within 100 yards of the hotel. I'd definitely recommend HSM Regana.

The pool area was our favorite part of HSM Regana, with breathtaking sea views and a lovely place to relax in the sun. My partner and I recently had an unforgettable stay at this four-star, adults-only hotel in Mallorca. It's a great mix of relaxation and luxury. We chose half board and enjoyed the range at both breakfast and dinner. The meals were tasty, well prepared and beautifully presented, with options for different tastes. Staff were consistently friendly and professional, always ready to help with a smile. We'd love to return and would recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, luxurious Mallorca holiday.
