Apartamentos H3 Nautilus

The apartments are right on the beach, which is the one real plus. I booked with a private owner, so this is about the community itself. The terraces face an uninviting shared inner area, and the corridors feel like a prison. The pool looks lovely, but the cleanliness is poor enough that you might not want to swim after looking underwater. I wouldn't come back.

The apartments are in really poor shape, and the building looks run-down. Be aware that rentals here don't include pool access, and you may run into problems with the owners while you're staying there.

The apartment smelled strongly of tobacco, and the cleanliness was appalling. The shower curtain was disgusting, the mattresses were in terrible condition, and we didn't sleep a single night. A couple travelling with us left on day two because they couldn't manage a whole holiday without sleep. There were only two saucepans for a seven-person apartment, just six chairs, and not enough cutlery. The kitchen cupboards were broken, the extractor didn't work, and the coffee maker was broken too, so we couldn't make even one cup. We reported the problems on the first day, but no one replied or came to fix anything. Shameful. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

We spent August 1st to 4th with friends in Cabo de Gata, one of our favorite destinations, and booked this apartment through Booking.com. The photos looked like a normal place, but that wasn't what we found. Getting the key was difficult from the outset. Booking.com listed check-in until 9:00 PM, and we told the person handling it we'd arrive around then. She said she was leaving at 8:00 PM and kept pushing us to arrive earlier. We changed our plans to make that work, but she still insisted we come before the time we'd agreed. We offered to check in online, but she didn't know how and kept demanding that we get there as soon as possible. The apartment was in an open basement with no mobile signal or Wi-Fi indoors, so we were cut off from communication. It was supposed to have central air conditioning, but there was no central unit. Only the living room had an individual unit, and it had mold by the controls. The other rooms had no air conditioning. The shower curtains were yellowed with dirt, and the bathroom smelled. All three bedroom mattresses were awful, with springs digging into us, and the pillows were very thin. The sofa bed was rock hard. The apartment door wouldn't lock and the terrace door wouldn't close, leaving us with no security at all. I've attached photos showing how unsanitary it was.
