The room had an odd smell when I entered, and the front desk staff weren't especially friendly. The location wasn't great either. Given how little it cost, I suppose that wasn't too surprising.

It isn't by the sea, but the location is still good. The place feels very new and everything was impeccable, with modern, well equipped rooms. Breakfast was a simple buffet, but good enough, and the value was good overall.

Beach and downtown were only a few minutes away on foot, and the quiet neighbourhood made it easy to leave our motorbikes on the street. I was travelling by motorcycle with a friend. The family-run hostel was my best stay in Carboneras so far: the lovely lady was very polite, gave us good tips, and cooked an exquisite breakfast. The rooms were a good size, really clean, and the beds were comfortable. I'll definitely be back!
