The owner apparently shares the apartment with their family, and we could hear them quite easily throughout the day. The room is in central San Sebastian, about 140 m from the sea.

The room was good value, and spotless, with a spacious two-room suite and a full-size fridge and microwave. The owner was friendly, helpful and spoke English well. It’s right in Donostia’s Old Town, near the pintxos bars and within easy walking distance of many attractions. But sleeping can be a problem: there’s no air conditioning, and even with windows open for the cool evening breezes, don’t expect to get to bed before 2 AM because of the nearby bars. The hotel is also across from a school, so you’ll want to shut the windows before the children arrive at 7:30. There’s no front desk either. For service, you have to call the hotel or use the intercom at the entrance.

We stayed in room 1 during la gran semana. The room was kept clean and in good shape, check-in and check-out were both simple, and staff kindly let us in a little before the stated check-in time. The location in the old town is ideal, with buses a short walk away and lots of restaurants around the corner. But that week was very hot, and with no air conditioning we had to sleep with the window open. People were still out partying and gathering until 6am, so we heard the street all night. There’s a shared restroom, with no shower or toilet in the room.

The staff were really kind and friendly, and the apartment was amazing. Best place in Santander!
