Kanpoeder - Adults Only

The place is gated and feels very private, with beautiful nature all around. Our room had a stunning view and was spotless, with a spacious bathroom, a comfortable bed, and excellent water pressure. It felt like home, and breakfast was a lovely bonus. Check-in and checkout went smoothly. When we arrived, Ines gave us great tips about where to eat, park, and explore. She's a fantastic host who really cares about guests. The property is less than a 15-minute drive from San Sebastian's Old Town. We had an amazing stay, beyond what we expected, and we'd definitely come back to Ines’ place.

Breakfast was simple, delicious, and just right to start the day. There’s a lovely dining room and a cozy TV corner downstairs, and our room had a small fridge, always nice to have. The whole place is spotless and thoughtfully set up. We stayed two nights at this beautiful, characterful B&B. We’d come for the San Sebastián Marathon, which unfortunately got cancelled. The house is super cozy and the hosts couldn't be more welcoming. We'd absolutely stay again and recommend Kanpoeder if you're exploring San Sebastián and the surrounding area. 😊

Breakfast here was good, with toast and croissants, fruit, cold cuts, coffee, tea, and fresh juice. It’s the typical breakfast for this part of the world, and we were happy to start each day that way. If you want a full English or an all-you-can-eat buffet, this probably isn't the place for you. Kanpoeder is a rare gem and a definite 10 out of 10. We had a wonderful six-night stay, with quiet, comfortable rooms equipped with what we needed. The house and common areas were spotlessly clean, with charming decor and good off-street parking. Ines and her husband are dedicated, attentive hosts who go out of their way to make your stay feel special. They’ve managed this casa rural and lived in the region for years, so their advice on what to see and do was excellent. The farmhouse setting in the hills is spectacular, away from the city but still a short drive from the center, with nearby public transport. We recommend having a vehicle. You can walk to public transport, but it’s a steep, difficult walk along hilly country lanes. Taxis should be an option if needed. It’s also a comfortable driving distance for day trips along the coast, into France, or farther inland. Thanks for making our time in Donostia so memorable.
