The girls, ages 9, 7 and 2, were so happy there. The house is even lovelier than it looks in the photos, and it had every facility we could have wanted, plus more. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. When our car got stuck in the mud at night, he came out and towed us free. We’ll definitely be back.

We especially enjoyed how peaceful it was, and the room was roomy, spotless and nicely decorated, with a lovely mix of modern comfort and traditional character. The welcome was warm, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. Cal Viudet Vell is in a beautiful natural setting, quiet but still close to the main local attractions. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh local produce, and we enjoyed the carefully prepared meals at the hotel too. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

There were ten of us, and we had a fantastic weekend. The house was welcoming, well equipped and really peaceful. It’s also a great base for hiking, with a pool, football pitch, ping-pong table, bikes, darts and plenty more.

We had such a lovely time and would definitely go back. The place was very well looked after, and the views around the area are beautiful. Mr. Abel even left us a sweet welcome gift of local bread and cured meats.

We celebrated my youngest daughter’s birthday here and had a great time. It’s a charming place with an outdoor pool, and Mr. Abel was a very attentive host who made sure we were comfortable. The welcome was lovely. I highly recommend it.
