Hotel HP Castelldefels

The beach is close, and it’s worth going there for sunrise or sunset. The room was quiet enough for us to sleep, the bed was comfortable and big, the sheets were clean, and housekeeping came daily. There were power outlets by the beds, checkout was easy, and the walls seemed soundproof. Castelldefels isn’t that close to Barcelona, so check the location beforehand. Our AC worked, but it was very noisy. The bathroom door wouldn’t close because water had damaged its frame, and there was no balcony door, though we could still get to the balcony through the window. The TV was small and only had Spanish channels, so we brought our own projector. There wasn’t much storage or many tables for our things.

The one thing going for this place is its location, fairly near the beach and bus stop, with some good nearby places for coffee or a quick bite. It was much cheaper than places in the city, though the stay itself was really disappointing. The shower had no partition, and the slow drain let water spread across most of the bathroom floor. The sheets didn’t seem to have been changed. We asked them not to open the windows; they kept them shut the first day, but opened them the next, and mosquitoes filled the room. The AC blew right onto the left side of the bed. The room also felt old and a bit damaged.

Being near the beach and not too far from the airport made the location convenient. The owner and other staff didn’t speak much English, but we managed to understand each other ;)) Sleep was the big problem. I could hear people talking and walking all night, along with cars and motorbikes going by. There was also a red alarm light on in my room the whole night. It was impossible to sleep.

After travelling to 61 countries, I can say this was some of the best hospitality and value for money I’ve experienced. The staff were caring and helpful, and the rooms were spacious, stylish and comfortable, with great beds, terraces or patios, and good showers. The A/C worked perfectly. It’s in a quiet area close to everything, especially the beach. As a very experienced and demanding customer, I found it ticked every box. Congratulations to the Management! 👏🏼👍🏼
