The owners were very caring and helpful, and breakfast was decent. It’s a beautiful building with a lovely garden and koi pond, about a five-minute drive from Castro-Urdiales. The rooms are on the small side and there’s no air conditioning, though it’s up in the mountains and the nights were cool. We managed despite there being no English.

The staff were so courteous and polite. The design was what I loved most, it felt like being in a luxurious old castle. Everything was clean and neat, and I enjoyed every bit of the place. I highly recommend visiting and spending some time here.

The owners, Emilio and Gema, were such charming hosts. I stayed two nights while traveling through the Basque and Cantalabra regions, and the beautiful country inn became a real highlight of my trip. I highly recommend it.

The garden and house are full of character, with lovely views over the surrounding hills. La Llosa is a charming B&B/hotel near Castro Urdiales, and its owner has created a place finished to a very high standard. The interior features handworked carpentry, and the staircase alone took a year to complete. Even the garden fountains are fed by rainwater. It’s impressive.
