Casa Rural La Malena

Luis made us feel like family from the moment we arrived, and the house and its surroundings were both spectacular. We were in town for the Spanish Dog Grooming Championship and only got to stay one night and one morning, which was a shame. We’ll plan a longer return. Definitely recommended.

The house we ended up in was dirty, especially the kitchen, and it was missing utensils and other essentials. After all the disappointment and deception, we made a financial agreement and stayed, but honestly, it was a disaster. I don't recommend it. Our group of four couples had booked a four-bedroom house for October 12th to 15th. Instead, we were offered a house outside town, and only later found out it had three bedrooms and was a long way from town. We refused because we'd booked four bedrooms. Eventually he admitted, after a lot of arguing, that construction workers had been given the four-bedroom house for a month. He then took us to another one of his houses in town, across the street from the house we had booked directly with the owner by phone. That one also had only three bedrooms.

The space and decor were fine, and the town's surroundings are spectacular, with really friendly locals. The stay itself was just okay, though. It wasn't as pictured, and it needed more cleaning. There were no complimentary touches either.

The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and the house itself was beautiful, clean, and really comfortable. When we're back in the area, this will be our first choice. Highly recommend it.
