Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa

Our group had planned a week here for a wedding, but we left after the first night because we felt unsafe. I strongly advise solo women and groups of women against staying here. The on site security guard’s first conversation with us at check in felt strange, though we initially brushed it off. Less than an hour later, he left his post in the hotel lobby and followed us to a nearby grocery store. He watched us at checkout and tried to start another conversation, which was very unsettling. Later, as we were leaving for our first event, we saw him standing right outside our room, watching us leave. We were all extremely uncomfortable. The next incident involved the same guard inside our hotel room, where we should have felt safe, and left my friends emotionally and physically traumatized. When we reported what happened to management, they were defensive and completely unprofessional. They refused to take our claims seriously, despite multiple security footage from that day that backed us up. Their defense focused on a fight that broke out after the guard’s dangerous actions and after he said he would return to our room later that night. The fight happened because the hotel protected this employee over a group of girls. Instead of support or empathy, we were treated like we were the problem. We were told to email about a refund for our rooms because we left immediately after the last incident, scared and feeling unsafe. The hotel refused. A second room packed up to leave too because they also felt completely unsafe. We got denial, blame and no accountability. Even after the police got involved, there was no apology or concern. They seemed more focused on protecting the staff member and keeping our money than supporting guests and women in a foreign country. Other reviews show the hotel often responds defensively to criticism, which says a lot about how it handles guest concerns. We felt unsafe, unheard and disrespected. For your own safety, I highly recommend that women travelling alone or in groups look elsewhere. It feels like there is something more going on here.
