Hostal La Uva

We were more than satisfied with our stay. The place was very clean and well cared for, and the welcome and service were really friendly. Access means going up three floors, and the bathrooms are shared. There might be too few bathrooms for the number of hostel rooms, but for the price, the value was excellent.

I found it gloomy and unpleasant, with an old, damp smell throughout. They make wine downstairs, and that smell gets everywhere. The rooms are very basic; one didn't have a TV despite having outlets for one. Nobody showed us the common areas, and when I asked, I was told there was an extra charge. It was also noisy in the street, with children shouting until 2 a.m. I won't return.

Just what we wanted: good value, recently renovated, and spotless. It smelled fresh, and everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

We felt really comfortable here. The hostel was spotless, the decor was lovely, and it was great value for money. The owner was a delight!
