The rooms were great, and the surroundings were lovely. I held a retreat here and couldn't have picked a better place. Eva and her team were amazing, the service was beyond excellent, and the food was both healthy and really tasty. A perfect 10.

We stayed in a centuries-old villa above Cercedilla, in a simple, rustic room with a wood-burning stove. The little terrace looked out over a beautiful mountain view. Such a lovely, quiet retreat.

We came to Casona de Navalmedio for a mountain biking trip in Cercedilla, my dad and I, and stayed two nights. The WiFi was advertised for the rooms, but it didn't work there. Hot water in the room didn't work either. Breakfast was included on the listing, yet we only got coffee, bread, and pastries, with no protein. There were no vegetarian choices on the menu and no vegetables served with the main dishes. The staff seemed willing to help, but none of them spoke a word of English. We weren't impressed, won't stay again, and wouldn't recommend it to international guests.

The mountain views around Madrid are astonishing, and the staff were polite, friendly, and easy to approach. It's a bar, restaurant, and hotel, with great facilities and even a pool. They also offer BBQs at a flat rate. A place well worth visiting, highly recommendable.

Tucked away in the hills near Madrid, this is a charming spot to get away. The spacious, comfortable rooms have lovely terraces where you can look across the valley and enjoy the fresh country air. The restaurant was OK, though the views and the place's charm make up for what it lacks.
