Hostal Les Fonts

We stopped here for lunch yesterday on our way back from Fonts del Llobregat, and the mountain setting is stunning. The hotel-restaurant sits high up with beautiful views all around. Inside, it’s clean and thoughtfully looked after, with a cozy feel from the leather benches, homely curtains, and leather table mats. The big round fireplace in the middle of the dining room is the highlight, giving off lovely warmth and a soft wood crackle that makes you want to linger. Adam looked after us so well. Water, cutlery, wet wipes, and even a little bowl of olives were on the table before we needed to ask, and he told us the story behind the fireplace. The food was delicious, proper homemade-style cooking. We especially enjoyed the duck with apple purée, eggs with mushrooms and bacon, and the wonderful ice cream with liqueur. The coffee was great too. We’d love to return, and next time we’d like to stay at the hotel as well. Thanks to Adam and the whole family for such a lovely visit. After a long day cycling, I was so glad to get here. The staff made me feel right at home, found a safe spot for my bike, and gave me a lovely room. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. I also really liked having a fireplace in the dining room. The homemade cannelloni was so good, and after dinner they made me tea on a tray so I could bring it up to my room. Loved that!

We came back for a second August, staying a few nights to get away from Barcelona's heat. It’s a friendly family-run place where you can properly unwind. Our dog was welcome, the food was delicious, and the surroundings are hard to beat.

The rooms have a lovely view of the mountains, and there’s a waterfall and walking paths nearby. The garden and swimming pool make a nice spot to relax, and pets are welcome too. The hosts were really kind and helpful, with personal service throughout. Breakfast and the restaurant food were exceptionally good. Such a charming place, almost paradise. Thanks for having us!
