Hotel Nou Sant Antoni

Pedro, the owner, was passionate and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. This lovely little boutique-style hotel is right in the town centre, just a minute’s walk from the cathedral.

The room was comfortable and well kept, and Pablo was friendly and accommodating. The hotel’s location in Ciudadela made it easy to reach the city’s sights, and I really enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was the weak spot. The dining area had a lovely atmosphere and the service was good, but there wasn’t much choice, and it didn’t match the standard of the rest of the hotel. A broader spread would bring it in line with the other services. Even so, the hotel has plenty of charm and convenience, and I’d still recommend it.

We’d happily return to Hotel Nou Sant Antoni. The family who run it made sure we were happy, and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was just right for us, with Menorquin-style coffee, local tomatoes and fruit, ham, and cheeses. We had a lovely stay.

The location is great if you’re without a car, right in the heart of the city centre. Our first-floor room was large and had two windows, but facing a very narrow alley meant poor ventilation. The hotel was humid, and it was almost impossible to dry damp clothes. On our last day the room wasn’t cleaned, even though we were out most of the day. We expected that as standard service. We complained, but the only response was clean towels. There aren’t really facilities beyond a small courtyard, where it’s hard to talk because windows from two rooms overlook it. Pedro, the manager, doesn’t speak English. There’s a woman at reception during the day, but often we couldn’t find anyone there.
