The kitchen could have been better equipped, and a couple of pictures would make the place feel more finished, so I’ve taken off one star. The beds were large and didn’t squeak, and the kitchen and bathroom had plenty of good-sized towels and toiletries. The whole resort was immaculately clean, and the staff, especially Helen, were friendly and helpful. There were lots of sunbeds, none broken, and the restaurant food was great. The marina is quite a walk away, but it’s a lovely one, especially at sunset.

My wife and I loved our two-week stay and would come back. The pool is large and deep, never busy, and there were always plenty of loungers available all day without anyone needing to save them with towels. It’s an adults-only place in a quiet part of Calana N' Bosch, about a 20-minute walk from the harbour. There are two restaurants and local supermarkets five minutes away, plus a restaurant in the complex if you don’t want to go out. Housekeeping came every day, and the service was excellent. The rooms lose a star for us because there’s no dressing table and not enough sockets, which made it hard to use hair straighteners. There is a comfortable couch in the living room, though, which was a nice change. We had a chilled, relaxing holiday. If you’re under 21, I wouldn’t recommend staying here; you’d be better off nearer the harbour.

The pool area was a highlight, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and our clean, comfortable apartment, #3, was set away from the pool for extra privacy. The restaurant and evening entertainment were excellent, tasteful and relaxed, just right for the calm adults-only atmosphere. We ate at the hotel and at nearby restaurants, a short walk down the road, where there are also a couple of supermarkets. One evening we picked up pizza from La Nueva and ate on our private garden terrace. Watching the sunset along the water and walking the Camí de Cavalls were highlights too. Our trip had started badly. Jet2 had accidentally double-booked and then cancelled our reservation, which meant our accommodation was cancelled too. We arrived overwhelmed, but Espe and Naiara at the front desk immediately helped us contact Jet2 and work through the problem. While I spent over an hour on the phone sorting it out, they brought me a glass of bubbly. That small kindness made a real difference. They were calm, proactive and genuinely kind, and assured us we’d have a room no matter what. They kept that promise, and our booking was reinstated. Menorca Mar exceeded our expectations. If you want a peaceful, charming retreat with warm service and an intimate feel, it’s a lovely place to stay. Huge thanks to Espe and Naiara for their professionalism and kindness. They’re a credit to the hotel. We’re so grateful we could relax and leave the stress behind, and we hope to return.

The pool, restaurant and concierge were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the location was great. The apartment furniture let the place down. The bed felt flimsy, and the mattress left my legs higher than my body. I’m quite fit, so I think heavier people might have a particularly hard time. The sofa gave no support at all. The Grundig TV wasn’t smart, so bring a Fire Stick, Googlecast adapter or a long HDMI cable. The tea and coffee cups are tiny too, so bring thermos cups or buy plastic ones at the supermarket.
