When the weather makes the patio unpleasant, the second-floor lounge is a lovely spot to sit and chat. It has comfortable couches and windows all along the walls. The family running the place are super kind and helpful, and the food is the best available, traditional cooking done with care and good ingredients. It isn’t fancy, though La Isla isn’t either.

I paid €55 for the night. The hotel was nice and quiet, and had A/C. Dinner was very simple, served at 20.30, and cost €12. That felt about right for the hotel.

Two albergues in La Isla turned out to be closed, so I ended up at Hotel La Isla. The room is basic but clean, and the restaurant is pleasantly sunny. I’m happy with my choice.

The rooms are large and clean, and the rates are good for pilgrims. There’s Wi-Fi in the lobby. The only drawback is that food is served only from July onward.
