That indoor pool worked surprisingly well for us. With the big patio doors open it felt almost like being outside, and the shade was welcome in the heat. The jacuzzi was a favourite too, and most days we had both to ourselves since there are only three rooms. Our family room was huge, with comfortable beds, nice linen, its own terrace and an ensuite. The whole place was spotless but still felt like a home, with proper furniture and soft furnishings rather than the plastic stuff we’ve had in some villas. The setting is hard to beat: a huge terrace with a stunning 180-degree mountain view. We spent seven nights with An and Frank and felt part of the family. They welcomed us warmly, made lovely breakfasts, answered all our questions, suggested restaurants and things to do, and even took the boys trekking with their friends. They also handled our gluten-free breakfast requirement. We hadn’t stayed at a B&B in Competa before, and this was easily our best experience. Nothing needed improving. We loved it and hope to return soon. Thanks for all the hospitality and those cooked eggs at breakfast, we miss them already! An and Frank really do everything they can to make your stay special.
