We stayed three nights at the end of September. The host was really helpful, the rooms were spotless, and breakfast was pleasant. The snag was that all the village restaurants seemed to stay closed until Thursday, so we had to drive elsewhere to eat.

The homemade breakfasts were delicious, and our host was warm and attentive. Casa Matilda in Corçà has lovely decorated rooms and a peaceful, home-like feel. A charming place for an authentic Spanish stay.

We loved the breakfast, which was gorgeous and clearly prepared with care, and the common areas were beautiful, with two rooftop decks. There were even jazz records and turntables to enjoy. The old medieval building has been updated with modern touches like the shower and bedding, and the designer decor was lovely throughout. This was our favorite stop on our 12 days in Spain. Leo was a gracious host.

Corçà itself is like a well-restored medieval monument, and the small guest house has been refurbished beautifully. Leo looked after us with exquisite service. Breakfast was among the best I’ve had anywhere, fresh, varied, and nicely presented.

A friendly, knowledgeable host and a great breakfast made for a relaxing stay. The room felt a little cold, and I wished there had been extra blankets and pillows. The TV didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi was weak.
