Apartamentos La Castilleja

Good-sized, adequate apartments in a convenient spot for exploring Cordoba. I'd recommend them.

We got locked out of our apartment at 23:00. Not funny. They should be more careful.

The price felt fair for one night, and we chose the place because our visit was urgent and there was nothing else available in the city. I didn't use the facilities, and I won't come back. It was the last room, otherwise we'd have had to stay miles outside town. We did enjoy the city, though, and had a fantastic time there. I'd read the reviews beforehand and agree that reception service is terrible. Check-in hours are limited, and they charge extra for checking out outside the stated hours. We arrived before reception opened, and since everyone was scheduled to check in at once, the queue was ridiculous for a hotel that isn't even central. They said our room wasn't ready because the previous guests had left late. With checkout at noon and check-in only from 12:30 to 2:00, it's hard to get rooms ready in half an hour, especially when staff are short. They offered to let us leave our luggage in the uncleaned room and clean it after we left. I was in a hurry and agreed, but when we got there, the room was dirty. They then told us to go back to reception because they wouldn't change it. The cleaner had refused to work around our belongings, so it didn't feel like a courtesy. We made our way back through the maze of corridors, then had to go down to the replacement room, wasting 20 minutes because of the receptionist's poor handling. When I said we were in a hurry, she rudely told me it wasn't a 24-hour service and she wasn't a magician. I hadn't said anything like that. She knew the room was dirty and had other clean rooms, yet sent us to the unfinished one, made us go back up, and then back down again. They also don't tell you that the service from this receptionist is appalling. The phone number on the reservation doesn't work either. It's a different number, given at reception when the receptionist arrives during the stated hours or inside the hotel. If you arrive when the door is closed, there's no one to contact. Remember, it's not a 24-hour service, and they're not magicians! We won't stay here again. We will return to this magical city soon.

Tamara, the hotel receptionist, made my stay much more enjoyable from the start. She was kind and professional, always ready to help, answered my questions with a smile, and shared city recommendations that really improved my experience. Her knowledge of the hotel and its services was clear, and I felt comfortable and looked after the whole time. She's a real professional and a valuable part of the team.
