Eurostars Conquistador Hotel

The location is hard to beat. We could walk to the main attractions all around, which made sightseeing easy. The hotel was clean, and parking was available for a daily fee. Breakfast was average but good, though the selection was small. The walls are thin enough that we could hear everything from next door, and the beds squeaked. It’s a perfect base if location is your priority.

The hotel’s central spot meant we could see the mezquita from our room. The lobby and patio were gorgeous, but the room itself was small and nothing special. Breakfast got a bit hectic in the morning, and they could probably use one or two more waitstaff. We stayed for one night.

The location beside the Mesquita- cathedral is amazing, and the patio is lovely. But the rooms feel outdated, and they’re missing amenities I’d expect at this star level. We’ve stayed at other eurostar 4-star hotels, and this one doesn’t come close to the same standard. It doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel.

The rooms are tiny, with very worn furniture, and the bed boards are plastic with a third image to make them look authentic. The photos also make the space seem larger and sell a luxury that isn’t there. For 150 per night, I expected luxury, but everything felt cheap, old, used, and disappointing. I’ve had a much better stay at 2-star ibis hotels in Spain. The halls and restaurant were enough to pull the rating up to 2 stars for me, but the room itself was well below that. This was the worst choice I’ve made, and such a shame for them. They should be reported to the authorities, if anyone had time for it. I didn’t take a photo of the backyard with houses being demolished, but you can see it by checking into the place.
