Hotel Selu

The reception girls were helpful and made sure we had what we needed, and we had a very pleasant stay at Selu hotel in beautiful Cordoba. Standard rooms aren’t very big if you have lots of luggage like we did, but they’re clean and the bathtub is top notch. The main attractions are close and easy to reach on foot. The parking garage is tiny, so parking took a bit of maneuvering, but we had no problems and there was no extra charge for leaving the car after check-out.

Our front desk attendant, Laurena (I hope I spelled this correctly), was so friendly and helped us understand the area layout. That made it easier to see as much as possible during our two days there, and she was a great help for English speakers. Hotel Selu sits on a quaint little street beside a long, beautiful park with a shopping square, and it’s near the old city wall. The Mosque Church, museums, and many other historical sights are walkable. The train station is also close enough to walk to, as long as you don’t have large bags. The hotel blends sophistication with classic Spanish charm. We’d absolutely stay here again if we return to Cordoba. What a magical city and lovely people.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of variety, great taste, and excellent quality. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were comfortable and homey, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout. A wonderful stay from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

The rooms have recently been renovated and are very clean, though quite basic. The lobby feels dated, and the staff were fine but nothing special. The historical area is only a short walk away.
