I’ve stayed at Mas del Salin many times and look forward to returning. Judit and Ramon are warm, friendly and accommodating hosts. The house is comfortable despite having no connection to the power grid or public water supply, and the rooms are pretty, clean and nicely furnished. I love the peace and quiet, the spectacular views, the wonderful sunsets, the tasty meals and the hiking trails that start right at Mas del Salin. Judit and Ramon have also put a lot into repairing the unpaved access road, so getting there by car is relatively easy. I find the 1 star review by R.C. unfair and out of line. Booking clearly said pets needed explicit approval from Mas del Salin, but they brought their dog without asking the owner first. They had booked a room but didn't stay overnight, which is a no show, or “no presentado,” and was correctly recorded that way. Guesthouses usually charge a fee for cancellations that late, so I consider the allegations outrageous and unfair.

There are lots of hiking trails around here, and the self-sufficient farm has every detail taken care of. Judit and Ramon have made it a lovely place to unplug for a whole weekend in the Prades mountains. Perfect for arriving Friday and staying put until Sunday.

Judit and Ramón are charming, considerate owners, and the food they serve is delicious and generous. The rooms are well equipped, and the farmhouse has a cozy feel with carefully chosen, pleasant decor. It sits in peaceful surroundings, with spectacular views of the cliffs. We had a fabulous stay and highly recommend it.
