Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote

The hotel is well placed for walking to lots of things, and we really enjoyed the daily activities. We spent a week here over the festive season, including New Year’s Eve, and it was such a lovely trip with amazing food. The attention to detail that night really stood out: there was a gift in every room, a very decadent buffet, and a great party outside that went on until the early hours. The setup looked amazing too. Everyone was kind and friendly, especially the bar staff, who were diligent and skilled. They even tried making drinks we fancied that weren’t on the menu, and everything tasted great. We took home some nice treats as well.

The food was amazing, with plenty of tasty variety, and the drinks and cocktails were premium. We also really enjoyed the entertainment and daytime activities. I tried glass fusion and thought it was spot on. Every member of the Meliá team looked after us from the start of the holiday to the end. Special thanks to Tati, Nita,Ariana, Khadi and Gabriela, the Graciosa girls, for their outstanding restaurant service. The young woman working the outside bar during the day was excellent too, and Bostian and Rayco helped make our stay enjoyable. We’re four caterers, so pleasing all of us is quite an achievement. We’ll definitely be back, and would recommend it. Many thanks!

The restaurants have a good range, and I’d especially recommend the tapas at lunch. Dinner felt like an event, with wonderful staff throughout. Afrika and Chandli deserve a special mention for going above and beyond. Afrika found English difficult, but always made a real effort. We’d stayed here before and chose it again for a family holiday. The service was fantastic from the moment we walked in. Our room was amazing and had a hot tub, though that was the one part that let me down. The Reserve area was worth the extra cost for its exclusivity, and our elderly parents felt comfortable there.

The chefs deserve a special mention. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully served and delicious, and the cocktails and mocktails were creative, refreshing and just right. I’m part of the Meliá team, so I know the standards, and this stay exceeded them. Every department checked in with us warmly and with a smile. The team were genuinely friendly and made everything feel special. Our room was fabulous, with a stunning ocean view and lovely palm trees. It felt like a dream and was worth every penny. We fell in love with this place. It’s honestly one of the best Meliá hotels we’ve visited. Magnificent.
