We’ve been returning for the past 10 years, and every visit has been a 10+ experience. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the price is more than fair. Elena, the owner, is kind, friendly, and helpful, and speaks many languages.

We were treated so well and felt completely spoiled. Absolutely marvelous and fantastic.

The beach is only a few meters away, which is the best thing about the location, and we could enjoy the sun and sea in the afternoon. But the room and facilities fell far short of what the Booking photos suggested. It’s a Hostal that feels like it has the bare minimum for sleeping, and I don’t think it deserves more than two stars. The rooms are small. They are disinfected and cleaned with bleach, which is important, but even the plastic cups weren’t changed during our stay. The old IKEA wardrobe had a shelf that fell whenever touched. When our neighbor turned on their water while we were showering, our pressure dropped and the water went cold. There’s a small fridge, which was useful for keeping food cold, but nothing to heat things up, not even hot water for tea. The listing and reviews on Booking and other sites seemed exaggerated. Two days earlier we stayed at a three-star hotel in Costa Brava that cost us much less, and this Hostal wouldn’t compare favorably even with a two-star place.
