La Granja del Besa

Jaume was always attentive whenever we needed something. The place is spectacular and peaceful, with a pool and everything fully equipped. We had a great few days despite the weather not being ideal. Both inside and out, it’s beautifully kept, and most things seem fairly new.

Jaume was such a friendly, attentive host, and we’d happily come back to stay here again in Cubells. We shared the house with another family and had a wonderful time, though a weekend felt far too short. Everything was clean, tidy, and fully equipped, and the pool was perfect. The girls loved swimming while we relaxed on the sun loungers. Every part of the house and garden has its own charm. Thanks so much for everything, Jaume!

We came as a family hoping to switch off for four days, and booking La Granja del Besa turned out to be a lucky find. The garden was a lovely place to settle in, with lawns, hammocks, a pool, and a swing where I spent hours reading. The quiet setting helped us relax from the moment we arrived. Inside, the living room felt like home, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were well equipped. One even has a jacuzzi. The kitchen had everything we needed, plus a table for breakfast and lunch and for card games after dinner. We made good use of the barbecue almost every day, and kept up our daily aperitif too. Jaume gave us a fantastic welcome, made us delicious coca de recapte (a type of flatbread), and shared really useful information about the area. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The host, Jaume, was lovely and thoughtful from the start. He kept us informed after the online booking, checked in about our arrival, and suggested places to visit. We went to Montsonís Castle, built in the 12th century and preserved to this day. It was a spectacular visit, and a great choice for families. We were four adults and four children, and had everything we needed. The house was spotless, with one of the best equipped kitchens we’ve used, including plenty of supplies for a big group and a beautiful wooden table where we all fit comfortably. We all left wanting to return, whatever the season. The children were already talking about coming back in winter to light the fireplace. La Granja del Besa brings the architecture and natural surroundings together beautifully, with excellent views over Cubells, the plain, and the nearby mountains. Large windows along the entire right side mean you can take in the scenery from any room. The light is spectacular, and stepping inside made us feel completely disconnected from everything. There’s a special magic to the place. We especially loved the garden, the scent of lavender in the breeze, and the pool shaded by an olive tree. A great experience in every way. We’ll be back!
