There’s parking in an area right next to the apartments, though we parked farther up by a large house visible from the apartments. The owner there told us off and left a “No Parking” sign on our car. We doubted it was a real restriction, since there were no signs prohibiting parking. He must think he owns the place. The apartment itself was great, and I loved it. The main drawback was having neither internet nor any cell phone coverage. It’s a very small village with hardly anything there.

I really enjoyed my week in the rural apartment. It was peaceful, and the stream running behind the property made such a relaxing sound. The place had everything I could need, and the owners or staff were very attentive. I’d gladly return. There are quite a lot of mosquitoes in the area, so bring repellent or something similar.

My husband and I were comfortable during our four days in this little house, but there’s room for improvement. It was damp, the bathroom had mold, and the house hadn’t been aired out before we arrived, so it smelled quite bad. The owner said the heating wouldn’t be turned on until mid-November. There were cobwebs all over the house that could use a clean, and there’s no Wi-Fi.

We could hear only the animals and the river, it was spectacularly peaceful. The area was beautiful, and the stream had swollen after rain a few days before we arrived. We stayed in El Forno, which opens straight onto the garden. The owner was incredibly kind.

It’s a very quiet spot, close to leisure areas and spectacular beaches, with excellent value for money. The woman who runs the place came by regularly to clean without disturbing us. I stayed with my partner and our two dogs. The huge garden and stream were a real treat for the dogs. We had an excellent stay, and I highly recommend it for relaxing and disconnecting from life in Madrid.
