The town centre of Cudillero is around 1 km away, while the bus and train stations are roughly 500 m and 1. 5 km away respectively. Originally built in 1877, this beautiful example of a typical Casona de Indianos stands amidst a garden populated with camellias, magnolias, centuries-old oaks and araucarias. Warm-toned upholstery has been employed in the colonial-style decorations, in combination with more up-to-date patterns, thus creating a very cosy atmosphere. The hotel offers 10 apartments, as well as a living room with a chimney and a library, a reading room, board games, a terrace and a garden. Other facilities include a hotel safe, a breakfast room, room service, a laundry service and a car park. The studio apartments have an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, a telephone, TV, Internet access and individual heating. The garden was a lovely place to sit with G&Ts on the terrace before heading out for dinner, and there was plenty of parking. We spent three nights at Casona de la Paca and found lots to explore nearby, especially the stunning beaches. Our first-floor ‘special room’ had a little terrace, two seating areas and wide views. The villa is beautifully decorated, from the gorgeous rooms to the shared spaces, and breakfast was outstanding. The owners and staff were an absolute delight, always glad to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations. Paradise, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

One thing to know if you book the Tower room: you'll need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. Even with that in mind, this was one of our favorite hotels in northern Spain. The views are spectacular, the decor is beautiful, and it was fantastic value. The staff are AWESOME and so helpful. Can't recommend the place highly enough.

The lounge areas were my favorite part of this really beautiful hotel. My room was clean and well looked after, and the staff were amazing and spoke English. There was a good selection at breakfast, and it was quite delicious. The immediate surroundings aren't very pedestrian-friendly, though: there's only a narrow sidewalk on one side of the road. Cudillero is about a 10-minute walk downhill.

The made-to-order breakfast is well worth having. The friendly young women who checked us in also served it, and the dishes were brought right to the table. Our room was spacious, well equipped for a comfortable stay, and looked out over the countryside. The ground-floor rooms are tastefully decorated, with a lovely atmosphere for an artist or writer to settle in and work. Parking is just a few steps away. Everything felt delightful from check-in to check-out. What a lucky find, this charming little gem of a hotel.
