The restaurant is worth a mention: the food was incredible, and I especially recommend the cheesecake. I think it may be the best I've ever had. The portions are huge, the rest of the dishes were wonderful, and the ingredients seemed likely to be local and delicious. Seafood is kept in an aquarium, so it's really fresh. The attentive, friendly staff treated us like old friends. The atmosphere is hard to describe, the sort of thing you find in small town places in Spain. We stayed two nights at this roadside hotel, and it was fantastic. It's not five-star, but I have nothing to complain about. My room, 104, was clean, the bed was crisp, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the view from the windows was incredible. Reviews say 102 has the best view. I recommend both the hotel and restaurant, and also taking a walk around the area to enjoy the scenery beyond the room window.

They let us know well ahead of time after booking that the restaurant would be closed on our arrival day, and there are very few other food options in town. The staff and owner helped us decide where to eat in a neighboring town before coming in. Breakfast was excellent too. The hotel itself was excellent in almost every way, and right on the Caino del Norte route where we were walking.

We first came across this place while looking for water and got such friendly service that we returned for dinner. The merluza al forno was absolutely delicious, and the carrot cake for dessert was great too. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Don't hesitate to stop for lunch or dinner, you won't regret it. 100% recommendable.

Jose made us feel right at home during our one-night stop on the Camino de Santiago. The room was quiet and clean, with a very comfortable bed and lovely sunset views. Service and room quality were excellent. Breakfast the next morning was amazing, both the food and Jose's service. We'll stay here again next time we pass through.

Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was among the best we've had in Spain. We had a fantastic stay at El Fornon, from the wonderfully simple check-in through to leaving after breakfast. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable.
