The Old Palace Tower sits right in the middle of a lively town full of things to do. The building dates back to the 17th century, and its architecture made our brief stay feel like a trip through time. There's room for six and everything needed for a comfortable visit. The owner's warmth and thoughtfulness reflect how much he cares about the property. We left with a lasting memory, and would recommend it.

Casa C.
A distinctive old three-storey house right in the center of Cudillero, surrounded by restaurants. The old furniture, paintings, and decor are striking, and there are lovely views over the harbour and the typical houses clinging to the mountainside. A vintage house, and an experience in itself.

It looked so ugly.

A terrible stay. The place was dirty and smelly, with none of the basic hygiene it should have had. The description doesn't match the house, and the host tries to present it as a museum, which it isn't. It shouldn't be rented out.

The owner's very attentive, and the house is centrally located in Cudillero. Those are its only positives. It feels more suited to being a museum than guest accommodation. One mattress is wool, the living-room dining table is too flimsy to open, and the kitchen isn't suitable even for a one-day stay. We also couldn't work out how to turn on the butane water heater. For what it offers, the price isn't cheap. I wouldn't recommend staying here, only visiting it as a museum.
