Aparthotel El Faro

The peaceful, beautiful setting was a highlight. It’s close to the lighthouse and only a short walk from a lovely big beach. We also liked sitting in the sun on the terrace, and the building itself is well maintained. We’ve just come back from four nights and absolutely loved it. The apartment was very clean and had plenty of cooking utensils, glasses, cups, and other equipment. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bed was huge. We’ll definitely return.

We stayed here twice, in 2017 and 2019, and the quality hadn’t gone downhill. The hotel was neat and clean, the staff were friendly, and the amenities worked well for families, including laundry, parking, a pool, and a play area. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. The sea views are astonishing, and there’s a clean, spacious beach about a five-minute walk away. Cullera’s main promenade is 3 km away, around a 30-minute walk along the coast.

We came by car, so the fact that the place is a bit far from restaurants didn’t bother us. There’s parking for an extra charge, and the Wi-Fi was good for work. Cleaning service is available if you need it. We stayed in January and had lovely weather, about 23°C. It was quiet and uncrowded, and our room was spacious with a terrace and seats. The bed was comfortable, though we only had a blanket and no duvet. The AC and heating worked fine. The kitchenette had almost everything, but there was no kettle, tea, coffee, or salt, so you need to bring those yourself. There was a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and even washing machines.

You’ll need some kind of transport, as it felt a little off the beaten track. The hotel is surrounded by sea views, though, and seems ideal for a quiet retreat, depending on the time of year. It can also be lively. The studio was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with lots of space. I liked being able to cook, and it had all the amenities I needed.
