The hosts were so lovely, and the place felt comfortable, clean, and rustic with some modern touches. It's in a gorgeous little valley, with a picturesque river nearby, and made a perfect Camino recovery stop. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast too. The vegan choices were simple but delicious, especially the pumpkin and turnip green soups. Thanks so much for having us.

The covered glass terrace was a highlight, especially listening to the rain after a long walk. The cottage is tucked into the countryside, just five minutes off the Camino, and the signs make it easy to find. Our room was cosy, quiet, and good for a proper rest. The hosts were welcoming, even with the language barrier. The food is home-cooked, though a bit pricey, and there's not much else nearby. One host gave us a slice of lemon cake for the road, such a kind touch. I'd love to come back in summer.

The rooms were gorgeous and spotless, with luxurious sheets and towels, comfortable beds, and a great shower. After reaching this part of the Camino, that shower was a real treat. Casa A Pichona is run by a lovely couple who made us feel welcome. From SJPdP to Dumbria, this was our favorite stay and food, even better than my splurge at Santiago Parador. We arrived in time for lunch, and everything was delicious. The goat cheese salad is worth trying. Dinner was great too, and the cheesecake was so creamy I wouldn't miss it. I'm celiac, and the owner is too, so I felt safe eating there. It's a little outside Dumbria, which has its pros and cons, but it worked well for us. We'd come back and highly recommend it.

Really cozy place, with such friendly hosts and clean, comfortable rooms. The food was amazing too. My favorite hostel in Galicia. 5+ stars for Casa Pichona. Gracias por hacer de nuestra estadía espectacular…

A lovely place, though I felt like every food and drink cost added up. We paid 80 Euro for a night with a salad and basic breakfast, then spent another 40 Euro for two people on one evening meal and breakfast. The owners speak limited English, which made things hard if you don't know much Spanish.
