The host was kind and quick to respond, and check-in was straightforward. We stayed in room Eufemia, where the fully equipped kitchen was a real plus. The area gets plenty of tourists, but from inside the accommodation you mostly see the ocean and can tune out the big tour buses. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

The sunset views were beautiful, and the room was clean, lovely, and had everything we needed. One small tip: buy food and wine before you arrive. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this place.

The shared outdoor areas were peaceful and lovely, with a small pool, rocky shoreline access, and tables, umbrellas, and loungers for guests. There’s also a coffee room with a pod machine and moka pot, though we didn’t try either. Inside, our apartment, which I think was called Euphemia, sat furthest in among roughly four or five units. You enter through a covered patio shared by about three apartments, each with its own entrance. It was quiet and comfortable, and had what we needed for a few days: a dishwasher, fridge, electric cooktop, kettle, blender, toaster, and microwave. The bedroom was to the right, with a patio-facing window; beside it was the bathroom, with a small street-facing window. To the left was a compact table-and-stool area that worked for meals or getting some work done. The kitchen was at the back, with a window to the street. There was still some airflow through the covered patio, plus more from the high windows in the kitchen and bathroom. The village is charming, with several restaurants and bars. In June it was not crowded, which made the stay even nicer. A long, scenic path runs north along the lava cliffs, and Charco de Los Clicos, the famous Green Lagoon of Lanzarote, is about a five-minute walk away. It’s worth going early before the crowds arrive. Our host was responsive, easy to communicate with, and available when we needed him. That helped make the stay very pleasant.

We booked at the last minute and ended up with a really laid-back spot, especially the terrace when the weather’s nice. I’d happily come back (y).

There’s a little door from the huge terrace straight out to the sea, plus a private natural bathtub. The house itself is an old seaside holiday home, enclosed by a wall for privacy, and its old furniture and other bits around the place give you a sense of its history. The renovation was done with care, so it still has that original atmosphere. El Golfo is lovely too, with 142 inhabitants in total and plenty of good fish restaurants nearby. The sunsets from the terrace are beautiful. Highly recommendable!
