The castle wall outside the bedrooms gives a real sense of shelter, while the living room looks out onto thick local greenery. Rosa and Ignacio have made the place comfortable and fully air-conditioned without losing its rural character. They were kind and welcoming, and Ignacio even helped me with my car. I’ll definitely come back.

We were especially taken with the quiet of this little Aragonese Pyrenees village and the scenery around it. Alquézar and its footbridge route are about 45 minutes away, Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park takes around an hour and 15 minutes to reach, and there are lots of GR trails nearby. For us, that mattered far more than the lack of fast internet or 5G, which is understandable in a small village. Casa Purroy has the rustic feel we like, with period decor and comfortable amenities. We were happy with the location and what was provided, and Ms. Rosa made us feel very welcome. She was attentive and suggested lovely places to visit. It never felt like we were just being sold a service. A stay I’ll remember.

We keep returning to Casa Purroy - Artasona for the surrounding places we discover with Rosa and Nacho’s advice, from Olvena and Graus to Panillo and its Buddhist temple. This time, the nightingales singing day and night were a lovely surprise. We feel at home here. Both apartments we rented were superb and well equipped, and the setting is peaceful and close to nature. It’s always a pleasure to be welcomed by Rosa and Nacho. Don’t hesitate.

We’ve come back for a second year, and the spacious, clean apartment is still a pleasure to stay in. Rosa and Ignacio are great hosts, making sure everything is in order and sharing useful ideas for things to see and do. We’re already planning a winery visit with you! 🤣 Definitely coming back.

Rosa and Nacho are lovely hosts and always have good suggestions for exploring the area. The village itself is typical and peaceful, with plenty to discover. Casa Purroy feels authentic while still being comfortable, and it really does feel like home. I’ll be back in May for the nightingales singing all night to woo their sweethearts. A very musical sleepless night! 👍🕊️
