The staff were really friendly and accommodating, which was the best part. Furnishings were simple but adequate, and the location was great, with harbour views. We'll be back!

We planned on a few nights while our boat was out of the water for repairs, but liked the place so much we stayed three extra nights. The view was amazing, and it was very clean. The café staff downstairs were super friendly.

We stopped at Apartamentos y Restaurante Mar de las Calmas for a drink, but saw someone from the establishment throw a glass of water at one of the several cats nearby to scare it off. It felt unnecessary and completely lacking in empathy. There are much more respectful ways to handle animals being around. Since humane treatment of animals matters to us, that incident ruined the visit. We won't return or recommend it.

We had dinner there two nights in a row and were glad we did. The waiter was super friendly, and the food was delicious. We especially loved the grilled wahoo and baby squid. If we're back in El Hierro, we'll definitely return.

The harbor view is beautiful, and the apartment was OK. The kitchen didn't have enough equipment, and the streets on both sides were really noisy.
