We really enjoyed our five-night stay. The hotel has a lovely Spanish courtyard feel, and breakfast was excellent. Our Premier Double Room was spacious.

The staff were nice, the rooms beautiful, and it's a good area with some nice dining nearby. The beach is a little far to walk to, but overall it's a really recommended place to stay.

I've stayed here several times, and it's become my preferred hotel in town. The gardens are beautiful, full of unique plants, and there are three outdoor pools plus one indoor pool. Breakfast is delicious and the staff are super kind. It's luxury without frills, great for family and friends, with an informal feel and a very comfortable stay.

The staff and reception were welcoming, the main garden and pool were very good and well kept, and our premium room was an excellent size. The old Spanish-style building, gardens and paths are attractive, and the area around the hotel is relaxing and within walking distance, though it isn't central to the old town. Parking is good, and it's not far from the port and beach. It's well done if you like this style, but it's not what I'd call boutique, and anyone after a modern look may not enjoy it. Those are the good points. After that, things went badly wrong. The carpet in our room was shockingly dirty, covered in stains. The large 180 cm mattress was an old-fashioned caged spring type, so if one person moved, the whole bed bounced. We couldn't see any comfortable topper, and the pillows were the cheapest, most unpleasant ones I've had in years. There was just one per person. The terrace furniture looked like it came from the cheapest Chinese shop. The shower tray was dangerously slippery and decades old. There was only one vanity unit, and the corner bath was really only for one person because the tap was so large and positioned over one end. It had no jacuzzi or hidromasaje option. These are expensive rooms called Premium, but they felt far from it. The premium pool and spa area was dangerous. Decking was broken in several places, and my foot went through part of it. There were jagged wooden edges around the pool, exposed screws and bolts everywhere, and the steel safety handle at the pool steps wasn't attached at the bottom. Using it looked likely to make you fall or pull it onto your feet, so you had to be careful not to get hurt. There was no bar or waiter service at the 'Premium pool'. The sun loungers were uncomfortable and short, and the mattresses were filthy. At least they provide old towels, though they charge €25 for each towel you fail to return. They should be thrown in the bin. Only the pool was available at the spa, and the rest of the spa rooms were out of order. The restaurant was understaffed. The waiter was rushing around, nervous and impatient, and borderline rude. He needed help. The food was average at best. I ordered the burger and it came deconstructed, so I had to build it from the ingredients myself. Very odd. Breakfast was well below par. I'd stayed at several Hipotels recently and was shocked by how poor it was here. This hotel costs more per night than the others we'd stayed at lately. Even my key card was cracked. The place is nice but poorly managed and poorly funded, and I feel they're charging double what it's worth as it is. I hope they read this and actually do something about it instead of replying with the generic response. To be honest, I feel robbed. I hate leaving a review like this.
