The children loved the municipal pool, and it was only about 50 meters from where we stayed. The owner even gave us tickets for €1. We had a perfect week of rest in a lovely rural setting.

We had a little kitchenette with a fridge and ceramic hob, plus Wi-Fi, and the place was clean. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. Galera feels like a town caught in another time, though it can feel modern when you want it to. From the accommodation, it’s easy to get to the pool, the square, shops, and restaurants, or walk up the hill and explore the town and nearby villages. Don’t leave without trying the local food: wine, meat, bakery treats, rosca, pizza, and magra con tomate. Segureño lamb, mantecados, and the sweet pastries are worth trying too.

There are good trails for walking, and the town itself is really interesting. We also visited the prehistoric sites, which were fascinating, then had a good meal of Segurano lamb and remojon. The house is magnificent.

The owner's hospitality, the clean apartment, and its location all made a great impression on me. I’d happily stay at your Rincón again if I come back to Galera. Highly recommended.
