We were exhausted on the Via de la Plata, 5 km from El Real in 31-degree heat, when we called the owner. He immediately set off in his car and picked us up along a gravel dirt road. What amazing service. He’s a wonderful person. The rooms were perfectly fine for the price. Highly recommended!

The bar downstairs had a restaurant tucked in the back, and the food was good. The man running the place was very kind and even did our laundry, though that isn’t normally a service they offer. It’s a lovely little hotel off the beaten path, but tricky to find since it’s on the far side of a small industrial zone.

The owner was lovely, and I had a nice, comfortable room. I could leave my bicycle in the hallway. The little pensione is right beside the community swimming pool and restaurant.

Guard dogs woke us at 4:00 am, and the hotel is in an industrial estate. The first room they showed us smelled of smoke. This was the worst hostal I stayed in while walking the Camino Via de la Plata. Avoid it if you can.

The manager was really helpful, and the rooms were nice and reasonably priced. The only drawback was dogs at nearby businesses barking during the night.
