We only stayed one night as a stopover, but this hotel would work for a longer visit too. It’s a very nice place, just five minutes from Alicante airport, with pleasant, polite staff and comfortable, very clean rooms. The shower was great, and breakfast had a good selection of really good food. The spa was a nice extra, and we tried the pool, sauna, and steam room. I’d happily stay again if I’m in the area.

The outdoor space was pretty and relaxing, and it was super convenient for the airport. I spent one night at the Areca. The rooms were spotless, the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Restaurant staff were lovely and the food was great; the desk staff were welcoming too and arranged a taxi for me at the ungodly hour of 3:45 a.m. Torellano has a great bakery worth visiting, though there isn’t much else to do or see unless you head into Alicante. I’d recommend this hotel for a short stay or the night before a flight. Muchas gracias por la bienvenida y por hacer mi estancia tan facil! Hasta la próxima vez.

Rooms are comfortable and simple, and breakfast served in the garden had a good range of tasty, good-quality food. It’s a nice hotel very close to Alicante Airport, handy for a quick overnight business stay or a connection. Getting to downtown Alicante isn’t easy, but Uber or a taxi can work.

6/10
The staff were helpful and friendly, and the garden area was lovely for food and drinks. Parking is available in the garage or on the street. I stayed overnight after a late flight into Alicante, and the location was very convenient. The room was disappointing. The bed was really uncomfortable and the bedding didn’t feel nice. The shower was missing metal covers, the drain flooded, and there was mold on the tiles.

We’ve been staying at Areca for at least 15 years, at least four times a year. It’s so convenient for Alicante Airport, and makes a perfect start or finish to our holidays traveling around Spain.
