The municipal car park next door was a good deal at 10 euros for guests, and this seems like the best option in Elda. I’d come back if I needed to. Reception were lovely, too. We did have to switch rooms, though: we’d requested a quiet double and got one at the back with poor double glazing, steady traffic noise, noisy nearby rooms, and a stairwell door that slammed each time someone used it. The twin on the other side was much quieter. We’d planned to eat at the restaurant, but the menu was extremely limited and one waiter was working flat out, so we and other diners left. Breakfast was limited as well. We’d been emailed that every floor had a filtered-water fountain, as at other Marriots we’ve stayed in, but there wasn’t one. The room had just one small complimentary bottle, and the gym had none. Reception gave us two more, then we bought water at a supermarket. The location is good for renewing your TIE.

It’s about a 10-minute walk to Plaza Mayor, with loads of restaurants and bars around there. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy, and the reception staff were so helpful. Breakfast was fine, though the selection was very limited. My one gripe is there’s no smart TV for Netflix or similar during downtime. I’d definitely stay again for a short visit.

Getting to and from the A-31 is convenient, and the hotel is well placed for getting around Elda. It’s what I expect from an AC Hotel in Spain.

The room had plenty of space, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The blackout curtains worked completely, and everything was very clean. We also liked the elegant decor, the very polite receptionists, and the parking right below. We loved it!

For my one-night business trip, it worked perfectly. The rooms were clean, service was great, and the international breakfast was very good.
