M&uga Hotela

Nico made a real difference to our stay. He welcomed us warmly and, with his sharp intelligence, kindness, and obvious passion for his work, introduced us to an experience where every detail mattered. More than a concierge, he felt like an ambassador. In his hands, M & Uga became a destination in itself, and in my view the best hotel in the area. The old stone and classic local architecture give Hotel M & Uga a historic feel, while inside, the experience brings the past together with the future. Modern automation seems to anticipate guests' needs, and sustainable solutions respect the historic surroundings. The way this technology fits into the stay made it clear that cultural heritage and modern luxury can coexist. M & Uga stands in the heart of El Lorrio, where centuries of history seem to linger in the stone. For a stay that combines people like Nico with a distinctive technological experience, it's the place where past and future meet.

The hosts welcomed us warmly and shared lots of recommendations. The breakfast was our personal highlight: you choose from a list of options, including different coffees and teas, cereals, yoghurt, toast with toppings, and eggs prepared in all kinds of ways. Everything is made with fresh ingredients, and I don't think we've ever had a breakfast with such a personal touch. Our room was comfortable, clean, and nice, with wooden ceilings beneath the roof that made it feel cosy. The hotel is in a very old building in Old Town Etorrio. Etorrio itself is a charming village, with plenty of locals enjoying the streets. If you're after somewhere special with a local touch, this beautiful hotel is just right. We'd happily come back and recommend it to everyone. Thank you!

We enjoyed both our stay at M&UGA hotels and our time in Elorrio. The owners/operators couple were warm and friendly throughout. From our room at the back, it was lovely to wake up to trees, mountains, and the town beyond the yard. Breakfast was delicious, especially the cheese omelettes. The location works well for visiting Bilbao and San Sebastian, then returning at night to this quaint little mountain town. I'd definitely come back.

The hosts were wonderful, and their friendliness made us feel at home. You could tell they really cared about their guests and worked hard to make our stay great. The place is beautiful, with comfortable, well decorated rooms. Breakfast was delicious, and there's a terrace on the top floor with a great view of the church.
