I only ate at the restaurant, not at the hotel. The service was quick and efficient, and the food was homemade and well prepared, though the potatoes were frozen. The bread was quite good. Drinks are included, but the wine didn't meet La Rioja standards, and the beer came in a can. You can pick from five starters and five main courses. Ezcaray generally feels a bit overpriced, like tourist places in Spain and elsewhere, but this menu is very reasonably priced: €18 on weekdays and €22 on Saturdays and Sundays. I haven't found another option in Ezcaray at that price. The place itself is average, though seeing regulars eating alone is always a good sign.

The place is clean and the beds are comfortable, but the double room is very small. Parking is difficult, and they don't serve breakfast on weekends, which is what I was told when I asked why it wasn't included in the price. One person pays €60 for the same room, but it rises to €80 when a second person joins.

We went for the weekend set menu and everything was delicious. There was a good range of homemade starters and main courses, with bread, water, wine, and dessert included at an excellent price. The staff were attentive, and service was quick. Highly recommended!

I can only comment on the restaurant, not the hotel. The menu is basic and comes with decent house wine, but the price feels a little high for what you get, though that's typical in Ezcaray. Service and the rest were fine. We'd booked in advance and tried to add more people the day before, but were told it was already full. When we arrived, half the dining room or more was empty. They also said they couldn't serve coffee because the next seating was full. That left us unable to make the group plans we'd been looking forward to, and it felt like they didn't want to accommodate us. They say the photo shows the dining room full.

The area is lovely and very quiet, and the staff were quite friendly. Parking is hard, though that's much the same throughout Ezcaray. The rooms are the main problem: small, dated, and with very uncomfortable beds. It's tolerable for one night, but I wouldn't suggest staying longer. A more modern renovation would help. Given the rooms' condition, I thought it was overpriced.
