Barceloneta UPartments

Useless. They didn’t answer or open the door after my booking was confirmed.

We spent one night there at the end of August 2025, and it was easily the worst place I’ve stayed. There was dirt everywhere, the fridge wouldn’t shut, and water from the freezer had flooded the dining room. The beds were covered in hair. The pillow had long brown hairs on it, even though I’m blonde, and it was clear to me the sheets hadn’t been changed. We called reception and got no response. In the end, we asked for clean sheets so we could change them ourselves because they were disgusting, and the mattress had stains all over it. The terrace looked like it hadn’t been swept in months, with even a Coca-Cola bottle in the drain. I’ve honestly lost any interest in renting apartments. I don’t understand how they can provide service like this.

I had no issue with the apartment itself, and expected my belongings to be safe. We weren’t getting cleaning service, but someone came in while we were there anyway, then left saying it was a mistake. That same afternoon, while we were out, my wallet went missing. I don’t know who took it, but I won’t risk coming back, and I can’t recommend the place.

The apartment was spotless, which was a real pleasure to see. But it was very basic: there were no kitchen utensils, the coffee maker was broken, and the sofa was extremely uncomfortable. A few things need fixing to make a stay here more pleasant.
