House Lizarran Figueres

Our stop in Figueres between Zaragoza and Germany turned out to have a lovely surprise: the evening at Lizzaran. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were great. Cold tapas are picked up from the counter, while warm dishes come around from the kitchen for anyone who wants one. Everything tasted fresh and sensationally delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Diego looked after us so warmly, with lots of kindness and good cheer. We started with a majestic sangria, then enjoyed delicious food. Every so often a bell rings and warm pinxos are brought out right there, which is a fun little touch. We had an awesome time, and I'd recommend the place.

We tried it twice, once for dinner on the terrace and once for lunch inside. The food was good apart from the fried squid, and the prices were good value, drinks included. The tostadas are the speciality, with a huge range and really tasty options.

It's a little odd that this shows up as a hotel when you try to leave a review, because we went for the food. The tapas were some of the best I've tried. I liked the bell that rings when another round of warm tapas comes out. A few of the waiters weren't especially nice, but all in all it was okay.
