Mega Figueres

We booked a twin room directly through the hotel's website and got an email confirming it. When we arrived, we were told there were no rooms available, even after we explained we'd booked ahead. We showed them the confirmation emails sent directly by the hotel, but the staff member didn't check any computer system to verify our booking. The third-party sites, including Booking.com, had shown rooms available when we checked, and afterwards the hotel's own site still showed a twin room available to book. It seemed like a nice place, so this was a real pity. There was no other accommodation left in the area, and we had to take a train for over an hour to find another hotel. It wasted a day of our trip. Please keep the online systems updated to avoid overbooking in future.

The accommodation is near the Dali museum and has a good restaurant. The rooms are clean and lovely, and even have organic regional soaps. The service is really friendly. Visit Dali, then visit Mega!

There was broken glass under the bed, which we'd never encountered on a floor before. The sheets had hairs on them, the shower needed cleaning, and the room stank of tobacco. They wouldn't give us a different room because ours was booked with a shared bathroom, though their poor booking organization wasn't our fault. This accommodation was a disgrace, absolutely not worth staying in. We don't recommend this hostel at all.

The sign's lights are an awful neon pink, bright enough to make sleep impossible. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, and basic amenities are missing. Every time we pass the door, there are people drinking, shouting and littering. We've seen vomiting on the sidewalk and fights breaking out. The whole atmosphere is unsuitable for children or families. Honestly, I don't know how it's still open.
