Hotel de Montaña El Mirador

Giuseppe welcomed us when we arrived, and his humble, phenomenal hospitality made a big impression. He was one of the most helpful people I’ve met in a hotel. The service here exceeded what I’ve experienced at many 4-star hotels around the world, and I feel the place is underrated for its location, room size, and style. He said renovations and more amenities are coming soon. I hope the rates will still fit my budget, because we’d definitely like to return. My only other remarks: there’s no air conditioning, the mattress could be better, and the Wi-Fi in the rooms needs improvement.

Pets are welcome, and breakfast was good. There were no evening meals during our visit because of the time of year. The rooms are spacious, with wonderful views, and I’d give the location 10 stars if I could. It’s a little off the beaten track, but well worth the extra mile.

It’s pet-friendly, with plenty of parking right in front, though the hotel itself has no parking space. The restaurant happened to be closed during our stay, which was a shame. The hotel is about 600 m from Broto and has lovely valley and mountain views. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a balcony. Check-in and check-out were quick. There’s no elevator, but that didn’t cause us any problems.

There wasn’t a block of flats anywhere in sight, just a great hotel in a lovely location. The breakfast was excellent. It’s a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the detour. Peace.
